About the artwork
This painting was created in 2008 in Brighton. Part of a series using distressed manmade objects, this work is the abstracted section of a rusted tractor housing found in nymans wood in sussex. I aimed to build in an expansive energy to the work, whil building planes of perceptual depth with the treatment of the metal textures.
